NHS Ayrshire & Arran will be offering vaccinations on a drop-in basis at Kilwinning Academy on Sunday May 23.

The clinic does not require an appointment and is open to anyone in the first nine priority cohorts for vaccination who has not yet taken up the offer of a COVID-19 vaccine.

That includes everyone aged over 50 years old, under 50s who are unpaid carers, under 50s with underlying health conditions, under 50s who are members of a shielding household, and health and social care workers.

NHS Ayrshire & Arran Director of Public Health Lynne McNiven said:

“We want as many people as possible who are eligible for their vaccine to come forward and roll up their sleeve.

"If you have already been invited but did not attend your appointment – for whatever reason – it is not too late to be vaccinated.

“This is a drop-in clinic for anyone in cohorts 1 to 9 as set out by the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI).

"You simply turn up on the day and our vaccinators will be able to see you, there is no need to have an appointment."

The clinic is open to people from across Ayrshire from cohort 1 to 9 who have not yet had a first dose.

It is running from 1pm-5pm at Kilwinning Academy, Dalry Road, Kilwinning KA13 7HD.
