It is good news for funfairs in both Largs and Millport as they re-open this weekend.
A delighted Quilly Clark, who runs his famous flying elephants ride on Largs Prom, says it is good to be back.
He said: "It is a relief that common sense has prevailed.
"It has been a very tough few months.
"It is good news for tourism and for businesses in the town - we lost a lot of income after having to be closed over the Easter holidays - but now families can come to Largs, enjoy an ice cream, and enjoying themselves."
And the Garrison Funfair say they are also delighted to be back in action after the good news from the Chairman of the Scottish Section of The Showmen's Guild.
From this Saturday 5 June, fun fairs in Level 2 areas can begin to reopen
