THE musical director at Fairlie Parish Church has stood down from the role after five successful years.
Chris Kelly has been responsible for many popular shows at the place of worship, which have raised thousands of pounds for good causes.
He thanked everyone who has helped him in the position as he departed this week - but didn't say why he was leaving.
Chris said: "I would like to take the opportunity to thank those who have made my time here so enjoyable and so memorable.
"There are so many people who I have worked closely with, not least our session clerk Alison McKellar.
"Alison has been my constant go-to throughout my time here and I thank her for being such a supportive employer and friend.
"Of course, I’ve been in and around Fairlie Church for much longer than five years, through doing concerts and being at drop-in, first as a member then a helper.
"Ann Tyler has been a huge part of both of these things and I’d like to thank Ann for her support in the thousands of pounds worth of fundraising we’ve done over the years through our concerts.
"Finally I’d like to mention Helen Mitchell, who has been a fantastic mentor to me in the position and indeed an able deputy.
"I'd also like to thank the amazing and talented choir and praise band.
"We have made so many memories, contributed to hundreds of services and concerts, performed alongside other churches and massed choirs and it’s been a blast from start to finish."
