A spectacular sea cadets training ship has returned to Largs Yacht Haven.
The TS ROYALIST is the Sea Cadets flagship which has capacity to take 24 cadets to sea for six day voyages.
The vessel was designed by Acubens, and was constructed at the Spanish shipyard of Astilleros Gondan between 2014 and 2015.
The Princess Royal officially named the Marine Society and Sea Cadets’ flagship, TS Royalist.

The vessel's design draws on large faster yachts, offering greater use of space, and possesses a better all-round sailing ability and performance.
Faster and easier to handle than the previous flagship, it is considered more economical to run –and provides young people with offshore sailing, assisting them to learn greater seamanship and sailing skills.
