Largs Lifeboat launches to a drifting yacht after two crew members on board raised the alarm.
The RNLI launched at 2.19pm on June 16, following a request from UK Coastguard, to a nine metre ketch reported drifting onto the shore near Largs Yacht Haven
The lifeboat proceeded to the area eventually locating the casualty some two miles north west of the reported position.
When located the vessel was under sail and so the decision was taken to escort the casualty to the marina.
As progress was becoming increasingly slow in the south westerly force 4 conditions a decision was taken to take the casualty in tow to Largs Yacht Haven.
The lifeboat then returned to station being rehoused at 4.30pm.
