Essential maintenance is taking place on the A78 at Wemyss Bay North from 8pm on Monday July 12 until 6am on Tuesday July 13.

This scheme carried out by Amey on behalf of Transport Scotland will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the condition of the carriageway.
The work will be carried out using a convoy system to allow A78 traffic to pass through the works at this location.

In addition, the following slip roads will be closed with signed diversion routes in operation:

Spey Road off slip from the A78 northbound. Traffic will be diverted to continue on the A78 northbound until Bankfoot Roundabout. From here, traffic will turn to join the A78 southbound and will continue to the southbound off-slip to Spey Road

Spey Road on slip to the A78 southbound. Westbound traffic on Spey Road will continue and turn right onto the northbound on-slip to the A78. From here, traffic will travel north on the A78 to Bankfoot Roundabout and turn onto the A78 southbound and will proceed on this route to Wemyss Bay. Eastbound traffic on Spey Road will turn at the Spey Road/Findhorn Road Roundabout onto Spey Road in a westerly direction. From here, traffic will continue westbound on Spey Road and follow the diversion above for westbound traffic.

Access will be maintained to Ardgowan Road and the bus-stop opposite Ardgowan Road will remain open as will the adjacent footpath.
