THE owner of the Green Shutters in Bistro in Largs says he is full of optimism as the area moves to level 0.
Jim Walker, speaking to BBC News on Monday, says people may now be more comfortable out and about in the hospitality industry.
Jim said: “It’ll be interesting to see what the difference actually is, I think psychologically it might make it better for people.
“There’s a lot of fear around and people are still wary about coming inside. I’m hopeful this will signal a change in the message from the government.
“We’re perhaps missing a trick by not posting recovery figures from the virus which would be good for people to hear.”
Jim says he is looking forward to welcoming back more customers and a long-awaited return to normality.
He said: “As England opens up we will be able to welcome some more tourists from south of the border.
“I hope there will be a big influx over the Glasgow Fair, we’re probably more weather dependent than level dependent here."
