The A737 remains closed on Tuesday afternoon due to a gas leak which will impact anyone going towards Glasgow/Paisley from Largs.
Largs Community Resilience Team have issued the information to alert motorists to the situation.
A Transport Scotland spokesperson said: "The A737 remains closed both ways between Howwood and Lochwinnoch due to a gas leak in the area and will remain closed for some time."

The Community Resilience Team have also alerted locals to temporary traffic lights in position near Fairlie Petrol Station.
