STARS from Strictly Come Dancing and Love Island joined local celebrities David Ennis and Franco Narducci in Largs to shoot a new TV show.

The team from Celebrity Antiques Roadtrip was at Narducci's Antiques with the line-up of big names - as well as a classic Rolls Royce.

The celebrity version of the show sees antiques experts accompany celebrities on a road trip around the UK searching for treasures and competing to make the most money at auction.

AJ Pritchard from Strictly Come Dancing and brother Curtis from Love Island joined antiques expert Irita Marriott in Largs to hunt for some bargains.

David even got an opportunity to show off some of his magic tricks for the broadcast.

A delighted Franco told the News: "It was great to have AJ and Curtis down at the store. They were very popular and there were a lot of selfies taken on the day. They certainly pulled in the crowds.

"I normally look for a local celebrity to join me on the show and in the past we have had Les Ward, Drew Cochrane and Willie Brown BEM.

"This time we asked David Ennis and he was delighted to get involved - in fact, he was magic!

"He actually does a trick on television but people will have to wait to see that when the episode is broadcast in October.

"It was great to have Antiques Roadtrip here once more - and the Rolls Royce a lovely addition."

Franco says that the global success of the show continues to bring people to Largs and helps boost tourism.

He said: "It is amazing the amount of people who come through the door and say, 'We saw you on the telly!'.

David, who is a director of the Gillian's Saltire Appeal charity in Largs, is a member of the Magic Circle.

He said: "It was great fun doing the magic trick - although we had to film it a couple of times!

"Both AJ and Curtis said they loved the town. Actually AJ was so impressed that he said he would like to return to Largs with his girlfriend Abbie Quinnen.

"I told him if he comes to give me a call we can go for a pint!

"I am looking forward to seeing the show when it is broadcast."
