Thistle boss Stuart Davidson is delighted that the feel-good factor is back at the club — but is demanding improved displays as Largs head to high-flying Kilwinning Rangers on Saturday.

Thistle will be buoyed by memories of last season’s 2-1 win at Buffs which saw Jack Haggerty score a spectacular winner from the edge of the area after a top quality performance.
Davidson said he is pleased to see the end of the two-month run of midweek matches, with injuries building up having a big impact on his patched up squad.
Now that the winning feeling is back Davidson wants his players to go toe-to-toe with Kilwinning and get an important win to lift Largs up the table.
He said: “It will be a tough game at Kilwinning, they are going very well and have added a couple of players, and we need to perform better than we did against Glasgow United, and the first half against Pollok.
“The players know that — and we have been asking a lot of the same group of players all the time. Hopefully we can get a few players back for this Saturday and work on a few things in training this week which we have not had the chance to do because of all the midweek games.”
The Largs gaffer was pleased to see his side show some grit to get into the second round of the Scottish Cup, pictured.
He said: “It was good to get our first win in a while against Glasgow United and into the next round which is all that matters. I am pleased for the players.
“The Scottish Cup is very important to us — and Glasgow United made it very hard for
us.
“I thought if we were a bit more clinical in the first half and we had taken a bit more it could have been a much more comfortable afternoon for
us.
“However, we didn’t take our chances. We were regularly getting caught offside, and we didn’t make the right decisions in the right areas, and we gave Glasgow United a lot of encouragement to make them think they could get something out of this game.”

“William Sewell finished off a great team move to put us 1-0 up but we were really disappointed to concede straight after - it was very poor.
“”There were a few tackles flying in - it is the Scottish Cup tie and everyone is up for it and some were over-reacting and things were getting a bit overheated but it is always the same in these games,
“I think fitness was key in the second half, and they had a man or two sent off, and we have players who can change the game and Owen McGinty did that for us and won the penalty, and Scott Adam took responsibility and netted from the spot to put us into the next round.”
The Largs boss praised his players for rolling their sleeves up and battling for a point at Pollok last Wednesday.
He said: “It is good to get that winning feeling back after getting an important point at Newlandfield Park as well but we have a lot to do more performance wise and I am not going to say we have turned a corner yet - we have still got to get wins and points on the board.
“I was delighted to get the point at Newlandsfield Park in the end; we didn’t perform well in the first half, I thought we were hanging on a bit to get to half-time and did well to get in 0-0 at the interval.
“We told the players that they have not played well at all and if we can up it there was something there for us.
“Pollok got the goal even though we started playing better, and we showed great character to come back and get the penalty equaliser which I thought was deserved.
“We didn’t feel sorry for ourselves and we kept going.”
The Buffs sit on on 21 points, and positioned in 2nd spot in the PDM Buildbase Premier Division, while Largs are languishing in 17th spot in the 20 team league, with only six points from nine games so far.
