POLICE are investigating after a group of youths pelted passers-by with stones in Largs Main Street.
The unusual incident happened at 7pm on August 20.
A police spokesperson said: "We received a report of an assault by the throwing of stones, with the culprits also shouting insults at a number of people in Main Street.
"Our enquiry is ongoing."
Anyone with information can call police on 101.
