AN injured car crash victim had to be airlifted from the west side of Cumbrae.

The incident was reported to police at 12.05am last Friday.
A force spokesperson said: "We received a report of a single vehicle with four people inside having left the carriageway near to Fintry Bay in Cumbrae. 
"The female was later airlifted from the island to a mainland hospital to receive further treatment to injuries suffered in the incident. 
"Officers on Cumbrae are liaising with the occupants of the vehicle regarding the matter and our investigation continues."

Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash remain ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to contact police on 101, quoting incident 0015 of 10 September.
