Largs Thistle U20s 12 Winton Rovers U20s 1

It was raining goals as Largs under 20s development squad grabbed a dazzling dozen to move to third in the league.
Largs put in a scintillating second half performance against Winton Rovers to record a stylish win at Greenwood Academy last Friday night.
Ex-Rangers Colt Naythan Stewart scored with a beautiful chip from the edge of the area to take the lead on the half hour.
Dylan Weir made it two on 39 minutes as he stroked home from the edge of the area.

Aiden Coll showed a clean pair of heels to defenders before converting on 55 minutes.
Forward Aiden Marner scored on 61 and 68 minutes including a brilliant drive from the edge of the area. See clip below.

Marner then sidefooted home after an effort clipped the crossbar. See clip below

Sub Andrew Rutherford converted at the far post on 70 minutes after Stewart's bursting run and shot which was blocked by the keeper. See goal below.

Winton pulled a goal back thanks to Kyle Samson on 72 minutes, but Largs were leading 6-1, and intent on scoring more.
Stewart was again influential as he raced down the left, beat his man to the byeline and slipped a near post cross to Rutherford to convert on 74 minutes. See clip below.

An impressive Liam Lapsley double, and two more goals from Stewart, and a strike from Curtis Wood rounded off the scoring - see goal clip below.

Thistle U20s boss Ian Nixon said: "We started very slowly and there was no rhythm or aggression in our game, and our keeper made two good saves, so we were fortunate to go into the break 2-0 up.
"It was a great opener from Naythan Stewart - and he went on an amazing run before the chip for his first goal, and ended up getting a hat-trick, which isn't bad for a full-back. He is fast on the move with a good delivery. "

See Naythan's last minute strike to make it 12 below.

Nixon continued: "We were more ruthless in the second half and it was one way traffic.
"We are trying to coach them to have different patterns and shapes to the game to create spaces to attack.
"Andrew Rutherford has missed nine weeks with injury and it was good to bring him back and get some goals."
Largs are sitting third in the Under 20s development squad and face a home match against Beith on Friday night at Inverclyde Sports Centre.
Nixon added: "The boys are keeping their feet on the ground - I am expecting our toughest test of the season this Friday and it would be good for the supporters to be there and cheer on the lads."
