Seven overnight road closures are set to take place on the A78 at Wemyss Bay starting October 7.

The previously cancelled works from earlier this year have now been rescheduled.
Roads maintenance operators Amey say the opportunity to accelerate these works is in order to achieve completion before adverse winter weather becomes more prevalent.
This decision has been made due to supply chain availability and the deteriorating condition of the A78 carriageway.
These works are now proposed to be completed as a series of seven overnight closures of the A78 carriageway at Wemyss Bay, between  October 7 and 13.
A spokesperson said: "The A78 carriageway will be closed between 8pm and 6am each night, with the final closure ending at 6am on October 14.
"The A78 will be closed at Wemyss Bay, with a signed diversion route in place for A78 trunk road traffic between Greenock and Largs.
"This diversion route represents an increase in journey distance of approx. 35 km and an increase in journey time of approx. 37 minutes; additional journey time will be required if travelling along this section of the route within the above hours.
"There will be no provision for abnormal loads through the closure area or the diversion route."
Emergency services will not be affected – special arrangements will be in place to grant access through the closure area.
