CalMac has provided more details of the incident which saw the MV Loch Shira removed from service.
The ferry operator says the incident occured just before 1pm on Monday, when the vessel was out of service during a cleaning break.
No passengers were on board and no injuries were sustained when the Loch Shira made contact with the seabed.
The ferry is now at Dales in Greenock for repairs to be carried out, and initial estimates say that they will be completed by the end of the week.
The MV Loch Alainn was redeployed from Colintraive on Monday night to pick up the service, which resulted in the Colintraive to Rhubodach service being cancalled today.
The MV Loch Riddon is currently on passage from the Oban area and is expected to take over the service from Wednesday morning to allow the Loch Alainn to return to Colintraive.
