New cases of covid-19 have risen again in Largs with nearby Fairlie seeing an outbreak in the last week.
54 new cases of the virus were recorded in Largs and on Cumbrae between October 9 and 15, compared to 43 the previous week.
Largs North recorded 22 cases, Largs south saw 18 new cases, and Largs Central and Cumbrae registered 14 cases.
Case numbers in Fairlie have spiked in the last week, with 30 new cases of the virus recorded in the village.
This is more than triple the number of cases recorded in the previous week, when eight were seen between October 2 and 8.
Cases in Skelmorlie and West Kilbride and Seamill have also increased, with 9 and 13 new cases respectively.
Across North Ayrshire, a further 467 cases of covid-19 were recorded, a test positivity rate of 9.2 per cent.
This is a slight increase on the previous week, when 438 cases of the virus were confirmed with a test positivity rate of 8.1 per cent.
In the last recorded week, 17,233 new cases of covid-19 were confirmed across Scotland, a test positivity rate of 8.9 per cent.
Across all local authorities in Scotland, North Ayrshire currently sits 12th overall for its case rate, compared to 11th the previous week.
Stirling currently has the highest covid-19 case rate of any local authority in Scotland.
