Cumnock 1 Largs Thistle 1
Largs Thistle win 4-2 on penalty kicks

Thistle's love affair with the Scottish Cup continues as Stuart Davidson's side sealed a famous win at Townhead Park on Saturday to see them into the final 16 of the national tournament.
With Cumnock tenth in the West of Scotland Football League placings, and Largs in 17th, this was a gutsy penalty shoot-out victory for Largs.

Largs had to bounce back after conceding after only four minutes.

Cumnock won a corner kick and the ball was met by Smart Osadolar who made no mistake to powerful nod into the roof of the net on four minutes.
Largs went very close with McLeod's cushioned header on the right bouncing off the top of the crossbar following Ballantyne's curling cross into the danger area on 61 minutes.
On 72 minutes, Docherty managed to breakthrough on the left but he dragged his diagonal effort past Hughes with the goal at his mercy.
But Thistle carried on determinedly and got their just rewards with a terrific team goal started by sub Jack Haggerty.
The ball was worked across to Ross Love, and then Will Sewell who skilfully turned his man and raced down the line before supplying a dangerous ball into the box which was slammed into the roof of the net by Milliken for a fantastic and deserved equaliser on 75 minutes. See below.

Thistle came so close to the winning goal as Haggerty's 22 yard free kick screamer came crashing off the upright, and Largs were throwing bodies forward looking for the winning goal but Cumnock somehow managed to hold out for penalty kicks.

Ballantyne's opening penalty miss was immediately cancelled out by Cumnock striking the bar, and then Haggarty scored to put Largs 1-0 up, as Farrell saved Bell's effort.
Milliken, MacIntyre and Will Sewell were the cool heads as they rounded off the scoring from the spot to wrap up a famous cup victory for Largs to see them in to the fourth round versus Dundee North End on November 27.

Huge credit must go to Thistle who really stepped up the gears with the subs making a real difference as Largs showed their class in this encounter in the final twenty minutes.
This is the standard of performance that Stuart Davidson has been looking for - and now it is important to maintain this level going forward.
