Earthquake hits less than 100 miles from Largs overnight
An earthquake was felt across Western Scotland overnight according to the United States Geological Survey.
The 3.1 magnitude quake occured at around 2pm with its epicentre 11 miles north-west of Lochgilphead.
The tremor was felt as far away as Edinburgh and Oban.
