A FANTASTIC day of live music in Largs helped to raise funds for the Largs Academy wellbeing initiative.

The big music event took place at Room bar and restaurant last weekend, which set up an acoustic and main stage - and made £1,255.

Top bands including Chris Greig and the Merchants, Emberfall and The Wait raised the roof for the big school fundraiser.

Suzanne Fairlie helped out out with the music day at the Largs restaurant, which ran for seven hours.

Headliners for the day were Chris Greig & The Merchants, a feel-good, indie-pop group from Glasgow.

Suzanne late husband's band Emberfall also performed, alongside Chloe Marie, Harlo, The Quadrophenia Project, The VLs, The Wait, Ryan McCluckie and Lauren O'Donoghue.

Her son Derek and niece Sarah, both talented musicians, also performed on the big day.

Suzanne said: "It was an amazing day and evening - a huge thank you to Stephen McDonald, staff at Room and everyone who

"A massive thank you to each and everyone of the musicians who gave up their time to play at this event for free.

"It was a big ask as it has been a very difficult two years for the music industry - and it was a totally wonderful day.

"The whole event ran like clockwork."
