A rare phenomenon which showed Arran floating above the water was captured in Largs earlier today.
The illusion is known as Fata Morgana and occurs when light distorts and makes objects look floating above the water.
In the photo, the southern tip of Arran can be seen floating alongside some ships in the Firth of Clyde.
