The first case of the new Omicron variant of covid-19 has been recorded in Ayrshire.
Latest statistics released today show that the health board has recorded its first case of the mutated virus.
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon is set to hold a press conference tomorrow as the number of confirmed cases rises to 80.
