Guidance for businesses and workplaces on reducing the risk of COVID-19 and supporting staff and customers, coming into force as of tomorrow, has just been published by the Scottish government.

A government spokesperson stated: "With the arrival of the new Omicron variant, businesses should strengthen compliance with current protection measures and make an extra effort to do so from now through the festive period and beyond.

"Continued collective effort and commitment, particularly in sticking to the rules and guidance in place, will be a critical part of our response to the challenging winter ahead.

"This guidance is for all businesses and workplaces and provides advice on measures that you should take to reduce risk and create a safe environment for customers and staff."

"You should use this guidance to consider the risk of transmission of COVID-19 within your premises, and identify the measures you will need to adopt to protect workers and visitors on your premises and your workers, when working, elsewhere."
