A man was attended to by paramedics after his van came off the roadway on the shore road near The Meigle on Tuesday evening.


A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.05pm on January 4, officers were called to a report of a road crash involving one van that came off the roadway on the A78 between Largs and Skelmorlie. 
"Officers attended to assist and the driver was seen by ambulance staff however he did not require hospital treatment. 
"The vehicle was recovered."

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 5.04pm on Tuesday, January 4 to reports of a road traffic collision on the A78 near Skelmorlie involving one vehicle.

"Operations Control mobilised two appliances to the scene to make the area safe.

"One casualty was treated by paramedics."
