Strong westerly winds are expected to batter the west coast of Scotland this weekend.

The Met Office have issued TWO weather warnings and have said to expect some delays to road, rail, and ferry transport around the country.

Some short term loss of power and other services is possible.

It’s likely that some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities will be affected by spray with potential for large waves.

The first weather warning is in place from 4am till 3pm on Saturday, and the next is from 6pm on Sunday till 12 noon on Monday.
