Filming for season seven of Shetland has wrapped with a cameo from a location near Largs expected.
Crews from the show shot scenes on the road between Largs and Greenock earlier this month.
Dunrod Road was closed between Greenock Cut Visitor Centre and the Old Largs Road, and filming also took place in Kilmacolm, with Duchal Road, Glebe Road and Lyle Road all closed.
Douglas Henshall, who plays DI Jimmy Perez in the series, confirmed on Twitter than season seven wrapped on January 20, with two series shot back to back in the last year.
He said: "I take my hat off to our crew. It would be hard to find a more talented, hard working, good humoured and resilient bunch of people."
