Community groups and organisations are to be given a helping hand to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations this summer.

North Ayrshire Council is inviting applications for funding to ensure the event is celebrated in style.
The community funding has been ringfenced by the council's culture team to support voluntary and community organisations to deliver a combination of creative, heritage and cultural activities as part of the celebrations.
This week, the Queen has become the first British monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee having reigned for 70 years.
The invitation to apply for grants of £250, £500, or £1,000 is now open to offer support to vital community groups and local organisations who wish to hold their own community-led events to commemorate this memorable occasion.
Groups have until 5pm on February 28, to apply for the funding and awards will then be reviewed by an independent panel and allocated by the end of March 2022.
Councillor Louise McPhater, Cabinet Member for Participatory Democracy commented: “This is an excellent chance for community groups and not-for-profit organisations to celebrate a historic milestone.
