SEPA have issued a flood alert for Largs and Millport over the coming days with gale force storms expected.

This Ayrshire wide alert is for coastal flooding.

Pascal Lardet, Flood Duty Manager for the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, said: “Storm Dudley and then Storm Eunice will impact Scotland from Wednesday 16 February, bringing a period of very unsettled weather. There will be a risk of coastal flooding and wave overtopping as strong winds combined with storm surge will coincide with a period of high spring tides."

“The highest risk is along the Firth of Clyde on Wednesday and Thursday morning around high tide."

High Tide at Largs on Wednesday afternoon is 12.21pm and Thursday morning at 1.06am. For more tide details over coming days see here

Winds of up to 63mph are forecast to batter the local area.

Flooding impacts could include localised spray and wave overtopping affecting low lying land and roads, leading to potential travel disruption.
