LARGS Amateur Operatic Society will donate half of the profits of this week's Fiddler on the Roof show to the Ukraine appeal.

The show has already had two performances this week and has received fantastic feedback. It is described as a 'must see' with a very poignant scene marking the current situation featuring at the end of the show.

Tickets are still available for the last three shows on Friday evening, Satuday matinee, and Saturday evening.

Seat availability can be viewed and tickets purchased online at www.ticketsource.co.uk/largsoperatic

The action in the famous production is set around Kyiv in the early 20th century when the Russians were ejecting Jewish communities from the land.
Jonathan Procter, who has played the part of Tevye - made famous by Topol - at the King's Theatre in Glasgow will reprise the lead role.
The show runs from March 23-26, with four evening performances and a Saturday matinee.
The society was a week away from performing the production in 2020 before lockdown occurred.
Attempts to reschedule in October 2020 and March 2021 were non-starters but now, two years on, the company and production team can finally bring the show to audiences in Largs.
'Fiddler on the Roof' features iconic songs as the beautiful 'Sunrise, Sunset,' the boisterous 'If I Were a Rich Man', the poignant 'Far from the Home I Love' and the classic 'Matchmaker, Matchmaker.'
Fiona Page, president of Largs Amateur Operatic Society, said: "The journey has had its ups and downs so we are pleased we can finally bring it to the Barrfields stage.
"Producer Ruairidh Forde has remained at the helm but we have welcomed musical director Chris Kelly, who has replaced David Edwards.
"Chris has a strong connection with Largs Amateur Operatic Society and he was the driving force behind our Young Voices group."
While sad to lose Colin Young as rehearsal pianist, the society was delighted to welcome back Judith McNaught to the role.
There have been other changes to the backstage crew since 2020.
Fiona said: "Several principal roles have had to be re-cast and the chorus is reduced in number from the original cast.
"However, the new look company has worked hard at rehearsal, as Ruairidh and Chris have put them through their paces.
"In spite of several cases of Covid-19 within the cast and production team over the last few months, everyone has come back with determination and they are ready to bring the story of Tevye and his family to audiences."
