In this week's delve into the archives, we had back to 1988, when the Brisbane Queen was still in full flow, and awards were handed out at Largs Golf Club and Cumbrae's September weekend celebrations.
New Kids on the Block had burst onto the pop scene with Phil Collins 'A Groovy Kind of Love' and Enya's 'Orinoco Flow' popular in the charts, while in the cinema, Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise starred in the acclaimed 'Rainman', and some of the Monty Python team returned for the hit comedy 'A Fish Called Wanda' including John Cleese and Michael Palin.
And also full of fun was the Fairlie Youth Forum who were pictured, and there are plenty of recognisable faces in the mix!
Largs Golf Club junior prizewinners had plenty of young talents including Nicky Cronin, Paul McNicol, Allan Keogh, and David MacDonald.
The ever popular September Weekend came to an end with the competition winners showing their trophies in front of The Garrison.
The Brisbane Queen ladies in waiting were pictured from left Michelle Innes, Michelle McDonald, Liza Cormack, and Leslie Anne Armstrong.
And local kids had great fun at the Kelburn Country Centre Teddy Bears picnic.
