A public consultation is taking place in Fairlie Village Hall over a proposed cable manufacturing facility at Hunterston which will be cover 40 football pitches - and include a giant 185 metre tower.
XLCC has submitted the application for the project, which company bosses say will create around 900 jobs and manufacture thousands of kilometres of cable every year that will be loaded onto waiting ships.
The public consultation into the proposal takes place at Fairlie Village Hall on Wednesday 11th May 2-7pm (quieter hour 4-5pm) and Thursday 12th May 10.30am–4pm (quieter hour 12-1pm).
The development includes two factories, research and development laboratories, offices, stores, electrical infrastructure and a high-tech cable delivery system.
A consultation event is also taking place in Millport on May 13 in the Glass Room at the Garrison 4.30 to 7pm.
There will be a brief talk at 4.30pm followed by the opportunity to ask any questions.
They will also have business cards for enquiries about any employment opportunities
