A much missed Largs musical pastime returns this Sunday for the first time in over two years.
Local musician Ian Stoddart felt that there were too few sessions for traditional music so he founded the traditional music session at The Waterside Bar in Largs.
A group was formed with met monthly for some good old tunes and when Ian sadly passed away, the event was named the "Stoddys session" in his memory, and continues in his name becoming more popular amongst players and audiences.
It is always a very friendly traditional music jamming session. Bring along your instrument and join in, and sing a traditional song.
This Sunday at 2.30pm - please bring your instruments, voices and favourite traditional tunes for our first Stoddy session since March 2020.
Fiddles, accordions, whistles, flutes, mouthies, bodhrans, guitars , mandolins- whatever you play , come along and join in this great traditional session for an afternoon of music making with Allan MacDougall.
Or just come along and enjoy the magical musical vibe.
The event promises to be a real knees up!
