A highly respected theatre director from Largs will be giving a unique insight into the power of drama at a special workshop to be held in Largs.


Professor Maggie Kinloch will be appearing at the Clark Memorial Church Hall at the special one-off evening coming soon. Unfortunately the originally scheduled event due to take place this Friday has had to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. A new date is to be announced.

Maggie is a very experienced public speaker and creative writer, and urges young people with an interest in drama, to pop along to the event which is entry by donation.
She is Professor Emerita and former Deputy Principal of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. 
As a theatre director for over 40 years, she has a passionate commitment to the power and purpose of theatre in society. 
Her years of experience in both participatory theatre across all parts of society and in her professional directing work have given her a depth and breadth of experience. In addition, she has travelled globally to teach, and to observe, theatre and theatre education in over 30 countries. 
Maggie also penned the script for the acclaimed 'Caledonia USA' theatre production based on Largs band Gallagher and Lyle fame which was a sell-out with audiences when it took place at Barrfields Theatre in 2016.
A founding director of the National Theatre of Scotland, Maggie serves on the Boards of the Scottish Funding Council, Creative Scotland and the Humanist Society of Scotland.
