A military exercise is currently ongoing in the skies above the West of Scotland - and residents could spot some exciting aircraft.
Exercise Tartan Spirit involves squadrons and personnel from RAF Brize Norton, the Hercules C-130 aircraft and the A400M.
A similar exercise was conducted late last year following the evacuation of Afghan nationals from Kabul.
Several aircraft will be departing and arriving from Prestwick Airport in the coming days, and using the airspace above the West of Scotland as a training area.
