Some households in the UK will receive up to £650 in one-off payments to help with the cost of living this year.
Chancellor Rishi Sunak has announced a range of measures to try and tackle soaring energy costs and the general cost of living.
Eight million households on mean-tested benefits will receive £650 in two lump sums later this year, once in July and once in the autumn.
Every household will also get a £400 discount on their energy bill in the autumn that will not need to be paid back.
There will also be seperate one-off payments of £300 to pensioner households and individuals receiving disability benefits will get £150.
