CONCERNS have been raised about overhanging branches which are obscuring newly-erected traffic lights in Fairlie.

Councillor Ian Murdoch has spoken to highway maintenance operators Amey about the issue - with the red and amber lights currently covered by foliage on the Main Road.
He said: "The matter has been raised to me by Fairlie Community Council and a number of constituents.
"It is not just the new traffic lights which are affected, it is so bad in places that people are being forced off the pavement and having to walk on what is a very busy road."
Amey says it will undertake an inspection of the road and cut back vegetation in the worst areas.
Councillor Murdoch said: "This is good news as it needs to be addressed."
