Rail services to and from Largs are set for a week of disruption due to strike action by Network Rail staff.

There will be no services on Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday to and from the town due to pay disputes with the RMT union.

However, passengers are also being warned of knock-on impacts on days outwith the strikes, due to less staff working to prepare services for the following days.

Trains running from Glasgow to Largs on Wednesday and Friday are 0715, 0848, 0948, 1048, 1148, 1248, 1353, 1448, 1548, 1631, 1749, 1854 and 1945.

Services running from Largs to Glasgow on the same days are 0742, 0833, 0953, 1053, 1153, 1253, 1353, 1453, 1553, 1648, 1733, 1852 and 1954.

Scotrail is only able to run limited services on five key routes across the country.

These are Edinburgh to Glasgow via Falkirk, Edinburgh to Bathgate, Glasgow to Hamilton, Glasgow to Lanark, and Edinburgh to Glasgow via Shotts.

There will be no replacement buses or taxis during the strikes, so people are asked to consider if their journey is necessary.
