A talented young dancer from Largs is jetting off to the prestigious Dance World Cup today.
Sofia Gatto-Garzoni, pupil of the highly praised Karen Aitchison School of Dancing in the town, is heading off to compete against thousands of other hopefuls.
The competition, described as the ‘Olympics of Dance’ sees over 120,000 youngsters from over 60 countries entered the qualifiers with only five per cent making it to the finals to represent their country.
The Dance World Cup runs from June 24 to July 2 in San Sebastian, with Sofia performing and competing in the junior quartet ballet category.
