Largs residents are being invited to have their say on how the town can be even better at upcoming workshops.

The Largs community is being urged to get involved in a pilot project to help shape the future of the town.

As part of the pilot project, North Ayrshire Council has selected three towns including Largs to identify priorities and projects to address local needs and ambitions.

It will help to prepare a place framework for each town which will help guide future decisions within the areas.

Residents, businesses and anyone with an interest in Largs are now being invited to series of upcoming public design and ideas workshops.

These will take place on Saturday June 25 from 10am until 2pm in Largs town centre, and on Tuesday June 28 from 11am until 8pm in Clark Memorial Church Hall.

The Largs discussions will allow people to propose ideas and projects to make the town even better in the future.

Councillor Scott Davidson, cabinet member for place said: “Local communities know their towns better than anyone and their views will be invaluable as we develop new ideas and themes for Largs.

“We look forward to hearing the views and ideas of the residents, businesses and visitors of Largs so that we can improve the town not only for local people but for the popular location’s tourists too.”
