The USNS Patuxent is back on the River Clyde on Friday morning.
The replenishment ship is operated by the Military Sealift Command to support ships of the United States Navy.
It was berthed at Hunterston earlier this year.

The ship supports ships of the United States Navy across the world.
The Patuxent is 28 years old, weighs 42,000 tons fully loaded and is 677ft long.
The ship can hold around 159,000 barrels of fuel oil and jet fuel, and refuels other ships through five refuelling stations.
