Conservative councillor backs Penny Mordaunt for next Prime Minister
North Coast Conservative councillor Todd Ferguson has pledged his support for MP Penny Mordaunt in the race to be the next leader of the party and the next Prime Minister.
The next leader is due to be chosen in September by a ballot of Conservative members across the country, after the shortlist has been whittled down to two by MPs.
Cllr Ferguson says he is backing Ms Mordaunt to be the next Prime Minister as she is the best choice for Scotland and for the UK.
