A major road closure is in place this weekend between Hunterston and Fairlie on the A78.
The road will be closed completely from 5am on Saturday until 6am on Monday.
This is to facilitate the demolition of the overhead conveyor structure which took coal too and from Hunterston.
A diversion for north and south bound traffic will be to use the A760 Haylie Brae, through Dalry and West Kilbride.
