Largs Thistle 4 Vale of Leven 2 (after extra time)
Ten man Largs Thistle overcame Vale of Leven in a battling 4-2 win in Alexandria on Saturday afternoon.
Stuart Faulds netted the opener in the first minute but Largs were pegged back by slack defending from a corner made it 1-1 at half-time.
The returning Connor McGoldrick made it 2-1 for Largs as he headed home from a corner early in the second half.
Vale equalised following another corner and Largs were subsequently denied by the woodwork and good goalkeeping after a one on one as extra time beckoned.
George Sewell put Thistle 3-2 ahead in the second period of extra time before striker Scott Lewis was sent off for Largs.
Despite the numerical disadvantage Thistle pushed on to grab a fourth as Craig Forbes netted his second of the season as Thistle's superior fitness told in the end.
