Largs and Millport are stepping forward and participating in the North Ayrshire Walking Festival.

The Knock Hill Circular Walk in Largs takes place on September 5 from 9am-1pm.

The eight mile walk starts at the RNLI Station.

It is unique opportunity to join the volunteers who look after the Ayrshire Coastal Path on this circular walk from Largs onto the summit of Knock Hill (268m / 879 ft) and back. Learn about the Knock Hill woodland regeneration and enjoy panoramic views out to the Firth of Clyde islands and the Cowal Peninsular.

A 2.5 mile coastal walk in Millport has been organised for September 8 starting at the Crocodile Rock at 10.30am until midday, and will be led by Graham Walla of North Ayrshire Council Ranger Service.
The walk to Farland Point allows you the opportunity to see what amazing wildlife in the area, and is mostly leve, tarmac with rough parths at Farland POint, and an option to walk on sand at Kames Bay.
