A POPULAR beach route has been out of action for days after a tree was brought down by wild weather.
The branch has been blocking the walkway between Anthony Road and the Walkerston Avenue rail bridge, near Warren Park.
The path is popular with dog walkers, families and cyclists. The council have been alerted and say they will remove the debris.
A North Ayrshire Council spokesperson said: “Our Streetscene officers are working towards getting the footpath clear and safe for pedestrian use as a matter of urgency.
As the tree itself is within a private area, any further works will be the responsibility of the factor.”
