Largs Thistle 2008s 12 Threave Rovers 0
Largs Thistle 2008s continued their unbeaten run this weekend, with a comprehensive full-team performance in the first round of the Scottish Cup (South West Region). Dumfriesshire visitors Threave Rovers would have enjoyed the sunshine and friendly Barrfields atmosphere, but not the 12-0 scoreline!
Largs started confidently, with striker Clark Wallace setting up winger Jamie Ennis, scoring within the first 2 minutes and grabbing a second shortly after that with a left footed smash into the bottom corner. More goals from Charlie Mullan, Jayden McBlain, Cameron Greenham, and a stunning free-kick from Flynn Thomson put the home side 6 up at half time.
Hungry for more, the second half started with man of the match Mullan netting twice for his hat-track, before McBlain and Thomson grabbed a brace each. The game was sealed with a goal from striker Clark Wallace, before towering defender Joel McKeen powered a header past the visiting keeper to see out the convincing 12-0 win.
