The Inspiresport Scottish Cup 1st Round
Largs Colts 9 Irvine Meadow Colts 0

The 2010’s first home match of the season was a Scottish Cup first round tie against Irvine Meadow Colts.
Largs started on the front foot and almost scored from kick-off when an Ali Downs shot was tipped round the post for a corner.
Largs kept piling on the pressure and were rewarded when Scott Rumbold opened the scoring in the fifth minute when he flighted the ball over the Irvine keeper.
Slack defending saw Caiden Frew pounce on a loose ball to put the hosts 2-0 up. Caiden Frew got his 2nd moments later when he scored from close range following a goalmouth scramble. Niko Doolan made it 4-0 when he got on the end of a cross and rattled the ball home on the stroke of half time.
It was more of the same in the second half, Brydon Rorison knocked the ball home after meeting a cross from the left wing. It was one way traffic by the time Scott Rumbold scored his second, converting a penalty to make it 6-0.
Three more goals in the last 10 mins, two from Ali Downs and one from Lyall Craddock finished off this one-sided affair. Man of the Match was Largs Captain Cormac O’Neill who controlled the middle of the park with strength and flair.
