MILLPORT'S September Weekend returned in spectacular style with a fun-filled two days that drew visitors from near and far.
The event, which dates back to the mid-1930s, roared back after being claimed by the pandemic in recent years.
Businesses all got involved in the fun by decorating their shops as live street entertainment made for a superb atmosphere.
Scott Ferris, of the Isle of Cumbrae Tourism Association, said: "It was a superb weekend.
"On Saturday, the sun was shining and buzz about our little island paradise was off the scale.
"We brought back the sandcastle competition, fancy dress competition and lots more besides and we were so happy to see all the kids having such a good time."
The fireworks display was also hailed as a hit, while the illuminations weekend also included a special tribute to Queen Elizabeth II as Millport Pier Hotel was lit up using a projection of Her Majesty.
