CUMBRAE Historical Society is hosting a talk on steamers in and around Millport dating between 1945 to 2015.
The overlook on the historic vessels will be given by Alastair Chisholm, using slides by the late Ian Duncan.
The event takes place at the back lounge of The Newton Bar on October 10 at 7pm.
Professional photographer Al Goold has been converting his father's projector photographic archive, and cleaned up the slide pictures to high quality standard - in the above photo a young Al is picturd waving at The Duchess of Montrose' steamer, leaving Keppel Pier in 1963.
