Rishi Sunak is set to be the UK's next Prime Minister.
Mr Sunak was the only candidate able to pass the threshold of the support of 100 MPs after Boris Johnson and Penny Mordaunt pulled out of the race.
The new Prime Minister is set to address MPs in Parliament this afternoon and may address the country as well.
Mr Sunak lost the previous Tory leadership contest just seven weeks ago, but has emerged victorious following the resignation of Liz Truss last week.
He is set become the UK’s first British Asian prime minister, and will take office as the UK faces enormous economic challenges.
