CalMac has confirmed that monthly season tickets will continue to be sold on the Largs to Cumbrae route.
Concerns had been raised that the monthly tickets would stop before the introduction of the new ticketing system, meaning residents travelling regularly would see a big increase in their travel costs.
However, the ferry operator has now confirmed that the monthly passes will remain following issues introducing the new system.
A CalMac spokeswoman said: “We have deferred the launch of our new digital ticketing system until early 2023 to allow for issues discovered during testing to be addressed.
“Until this is introduced, monthly season tickets will continue to be sold and accepted on the Largs-Cumbrae route.”
